Willie Mullins
commenced training in 1988 having worked as assistant to both his
father, Paddy, and to Jim Bolger. He still rates his father as the
biggest influence on his career. A former six times amateur champion
in Ireland, his greatest moments in the saddle were winning the
'83 Aintree Foxhunters on Atha Cliath and the '96 Cheltenham Bumper
on Wither Or Which.

Willie
is all too aware of the necessity of having a strong team behind
you in the training game.
His
wife, Jackie Mullins, herself a highly
successful amateur rider, plays an integral part in the running
of the yard and it's administration.
Stable
jockey Ruby Walsh has already become
a household name, adding the 1999 jockeys' title to the amateur
crown which he held for the previous two years. His first really
big win came when taking the 1998 Cheltenham Bumper on Alexander
Banquet and he confirmed his appetite for the big stage when landing
a unique Aintree / Fairyhouse Grand National double in 2000 on Papillon
and Commanche Court. Head
girl is Tracey Gilmour, who hails from
New Hampshire, USA. Tracey comes from an eventing background and
as well as being responsible for all the horses in the yard, she
personally looks after many of the stable stars herself.
David
Condon
hails from Tallow, Co. Waterford and being able to claim off just
7st 10lb he is a valuable asset to any yard. He is a capable rider
who notched five winners last summer and undoubtedly there are a
lot more to come.
